Km 0 : Keep close to dunes on your right, head N/NE. Gravel.
Km 1,6 : Head SE, cross the dunes.

Sanid.

Km 2,6 : End of dunes. Stony plateaux. Head S/E.
Km 3,5 : End of plateau. Head East. Valley.

Slightly stony ground.
Gravel.

Km 5,5 : Cross the string of dunes, head E/SE. Sand.
Km 6 : End of dunes. Head East. Aim for tips of hills. Keep close to dunes on your right. Gravel and sand.
Km 7,3 : Cut across string of dunes. Head East.
Km 8,5 : End of small dunes, wadi on your right. Aim for tip of hill on your left. Keep same direction.

Sand.
Sandy, gravel.

Km 9,5 : CP1. Head S/E, cross EL ATACH wadi.

Sand, trees and vegetation.

Km 11 : End of EL ATACH wadi. To cross the valley, head E/SE aiming for hills on left.
Km 12 : Hill on your left.

Gravel, slightly sandy.

Km 14, 5 : Middle of the pass, hill on left, big dunes on right. Keep aiming for hills on left, same direction.

Slightly sandy.

Km 15,5 : Small dunes.

Sand and vegetation.

Km 17,5 : More small dunes. Hill on your left. Keep aiming for hills on left, head E.

Sand.

Km 21 : CP2 - At foot of hill. Keep close to hills on your left.

Sandy.

Km 22 : Stony plateaux. Head E/NE.
Km 23,1 : Cross the track.
Stony ground.
K 23,7 : Cross a small wadi.
K 24, 8 : Cross a small wadi.
Sandy with vegetation, then stony.
Km 27 : Cross several tracks.
Km 28,4 : Cross a small wadi, tree.
Stony ground.
Sandy with vegetation, then stony.
Km 30,5 : Cross a track.
Km 31,2 : Cross a track.

Stony ground.

Km 33 : CP3. NAAM wadi, well-shaft with solar powered pump. Head South to avoid big dunes.

Sand.

Km 35,8 : Military post on your left. Head SE.
Km 36 : Track junction.
Sandy.
Km 38 : At the intersection with big trees, take track on right (direction E/SE) to reach C4. Sandy.
Km 41 : Small house and fields on right. Follow the track keeping close to DRAA wadi on your right.

Sandy.

Km 42 : Follow track that crosses DRAA wadi.

Stony and sandy.

Km 43 : End of wadi. Track in middle of small dunes and bushes. Sandy.
Km 45,5 : CP4 - Near palm trees. Pick up track in palm grove.
Km 45,7 : Turn left and follow palm grove track up to km 51,3.
Sandy.
Dirt track in middle of palm trees.
Km 48 : First houses.

Dirt track in middle of palm trees.

Km 49 : Go into MAHMID EL ROZLANE Casbah.

Packed earth alley-way.

Km 49,2 : Leave the Casbah. Village centre, cross EL MOULIH wadi.

Sandy.

 

Km 50 : End of wadi, beginning of palm grove. Take track on left to pass by dwellings in village of ZAOUÏA EL HNÂ. Dirt track in middle of palm trees.
Km 51,3 : Turn right to leave palm grove. S/SE. Dirt track.
Km 51,7 : Small dunes.
Km 52,2 : End of dunes.
Sand.
Slightly sandy.
Km 52,6 : Turn left, E/NE, keep close to palm grove on your left. Small dunes on right.

Slightly sandy.

Km 54,2 : Cross a small line of dunes. At the end, head East up to CP5 keeping close to palm grove on your left. Small dunes on right.

Sand then packed earth.

Km 58,5 : CP5. Slightly to the left in the valley. Head East to find best place to cross dunes. Packed earth.
Km 59 : Cross tracks.

Packed earth. Sandy.

Km 60,5 : Beginning of dunes. Head E/NE to cross line of small dunes.
Km 62 : End of line of dunes. Same direction.
Sand.
Stony ground.
Km 65,2 : Line of small dunes.
Km 66,3 : End of line of small dunes.

Stony ground.

Km 68 : Scattered small dunes in middle of stony plateau.
Km 69 : End of scattered small dunes.
Sandy and stony.
Stony ground.
Km 70 : CP6 near to tree. Head E/NE to reach bivouac.
Km 70,7 : Cross a wide track.

Stony ground.

Km 73 : Beginning of dunes. Keep same direction.
Km 74 : End of dunes.
Sand.
Stony ground then gravel.
Km 76 : Bivouac n° 5 : JEBEL MEGAG.
