End of oued, same direction. Sandy jebel on your right. |
| Km 14.5 :
Slight upwards slope, a little uneven. |
| Km 15.5 :
Begin climbing jebel Hered Asfer. Go alongside the undulating ridge,
valley down on your left. |
| Km 18 :
Tricky descent towards sandy valley, go SSW (cap 205°), then follow
the river bed. |
| Km 18.5 : End of river bed. |
Km 19 :
At end of jebel, go towards the right, WNW direction
(cap 298° - we advise you to follow small oued on left in the valley). |
| Km 21 :
CP2 in the valley. Keep same WNW direction (cap 283°). |
| Km 24.3 :
Go towards the left to cross oued Rheris, WSW direction (cap 245°). |
| Km 25.4 :
End of oued. Keep WSW until CP3 (cap 245°). |
| Km 27 : Cross track. |
| Km 29 :
Large mound of earth on your right. |
Km 31.5 :
CP3 before jebel El Otfal. Go SSW(cap 217°) to begin difficult climb
up jebel.
Slope to the summit averages 25%. |
| Km 33.5 :
Summit of jebel. Go S for around 100 metres (cap 185°). |
| Km 33.6 :
Go slightly to right, SSW cap 208°), direction to pick up river bed. |
| Km 33.7 :
River bed. Continue descent. |
Km 35 :
End of climb down to river bed, keep same direction (cap 207°).
Cross stony plain. |
| Km 36.2 :
Beginning of dunes. Take 214°compass point. |
| Km 37.5 :
Bivouac N°3 behind string of dunes. |
