had a dream…
Orlando’s done around 15 marathons. He read
about MARATHON DES SABLES some 10 years ago and now,
at long last, his dream’s come true.
However much he’d heard about the race, he
didn’t realise it could help you to discover
so much about yourself. On stage 3 he found a side
to himself he didn’t know existed. He feels
he’ll be better able to cope with challenges
in everyday life and to see what really matters.
His fascination for the race comes both from it being
a human adventure in every sense of the word but
also a way of getting to know a new country. And
what’s more… via the magic of the desert.
He’s blown away by the beauty of this natural
panorama.
During stage 3 he stumbles upon a grave and naturally
wonders whether the desert isn’t trying to
tell him something. The only thing he knows for sure
is that his aim is to finish MDS.
