starting at the 23rd MDS. They founded the aid project run4children
to raise money for children suffering from cancer.

With run4children we would like to draw attention to the
situation of children suffering from cancer and help to improve
their quality of life by sporting commitment. Therefore,
we are searching for people who volunteer to donate a small
amount for every kilometer we run during a certain marathon
event in favor of the "Verein für krebskranke Kinder Kassel
e. V." (association for children suffering from cancer).
We call this a "Kilometer Sponsoring".
Our current project "Across the Desert for a Child's Smile" takes
us to Africa for two foot races. We will start on 7 to 9
December 2007 at the BOAVISTA ULTRAMARATHON, a desert marathon
on the Cap Verde Islands where we have to cover 150 km nonstop
with food self-sufficiency. The second challenge will be
the MARATHON DES SABLES in Marocco end of March / beginning
of April 2008. This foot race covers about 240 km in seven
days in six stages across the Sahara with food self-sufficiency.
Only water and open Berber tents are supplied by the event
organizer. Under these conditions it is a great motivation
to know that every single kilometer contributes to enable
suffering children to live a bearable life. Therefore, we
would be glad to win you as a kilometer sponsor.
All donations are at 100 % in favor of the Verein für krebskranke
Kinder Kassel e. V. Acknowledgements of receipt will be issued,
