Ad
Danish competitor Jes Hansen (101) wishes to use this website to let the world know he has found love on the bivouac and that’s he’s seriously considering marriage. She was at his feet, tending to his blisters. She’s a doctor. She might know we mean her. How sweet.

Bulldozer
British runner David Cook(691), a bit of a giant of a man, finds dune areas rather difficult. But his friends love him, running at his heels, in his steps… once he’s nicely turned the dune into a solid staircase.

Cosmetics
For his first MDS, Moroccan competitor Nabil Mouhane (12), who likes to take care of his appearance, had planned to pack half a dozen tubs of a nice selection of beauty creams. Old hands Nadia Dadoun (11), Karim Bennis (7) and Mustapha Arnaout (29) talked him out of it. He now really resents not looking his best on the dunes.

Clear-sighted
He had made the effort of taking a book with him, but he inadvertently dropped it while running. The organisation found the book and handed him back his thriller on that very same night. Some exploit? Not really… the book is in Sweedish and Mikael Björnsonn (53) is the only competitor from Sweden.
