Everybody calls him « p’tit Louis » (Little Louis) and he’s most certainly the greatest MDS fan in the world. He was 15 when he first came across the race on TV. A revelation. He couldn’t raise the funds to run it, but he ended up sending a cv to the organisation: two years in a row, he was one of the race officials – a most inspiring human experience. “I was crazy with joy, I felt useful and I loved it. I’d never come across so many interesting people, so many fascinating characters … Every day I was on the verge of tears.” But that boy couldn’t stay put, he wanted to run. Stroke of luck: a chance meeting in an airport won him a sponsor and here he is, running the 23rd Marathon. And he’s already sorted out the money for next year.
