Paddy Haddock (892), fishy

Paddy was born in Dublin but grew up in Antibes, just like his childhood best mate Alain Bernard, world swimming champion. Alain’s exploits inspired him to join the MDS: “I was a little jealous, a little stung, so I registered with the first sport event that came my way, and it happened to be the MDS. I was a bit late, but Patrick Bauer let me join, because we were both called Pat and I was the first Haddock on the race.” On day one, he felt fully in his element, if a little dried out. But it got real bad in the next stages, when the sight of dried out lakes and riverbeds clearly depressed him. Paddy Haddock hurts.
