Check point 1 of this last stage; Ray quenches his thirst in the shade of a tent. He knows that in 30km he will cross the finish line of this 24th Marathon des Sables. In 5 days he will have covered nearly 200 km: a real performance! “I have dreamt of taking part in this race since 2002” he tells us, whilst already heading off towards the next check point. Through abnegation and tenacity, Ray is showing us that all dreams can become reality!
