Joe Donovan (IRL-D828), from Dublin will run in this years 25th MDS in aid of the Neurofibromatosis Association of Ireland(NFA).
Joe hopes to use the event to promote awareness of the disorder and raise some much needed funds for the charity.

The Neurofibromatosis Association of Ireland was set up in 1985. It has evolved into a proactive support organisation for patients and their families. Its Key Objective are as follows:
Support the formation of an Neurofibromatosis Clinic, provide & staff a 24 Hour Help Line, provide information on Neurofibromatosis for patients and Health Professionals, promote an understanding of the problems encountered in the disorder, reach out to NF patients and their families and bring sufferers together in order to overcome the feeling of isolation they can experience, manage a funding programme to achieve our key objectives & support research, develop an awareness / education programme to assist sufferers & families also those involved in the education of NF children, distribute a quarterly Newsletter, assist in the early diagnosis of Neurofibromatosis, provide support to families who have children with learning difficulties, to raise an awareness of Neurofibromatosis among the community, to provide improved medical care, support & services for sufferers, focus on the problems facing children with Neurofibromatosis and the clinical guidelines for managing the condition, improve our communication services and cultivate a close working relationships between UK, European, Australia and US Associations.
