Paul Kenny (D876-UK)

43 years old Paul Kenny (876-UK), a Liverpool fireman, faces his first MDS. At the start of the 4th stage, after so many kilometers already, his feet feel very tender and he walks rather cautiously around the bivouac. Still, he’s just as friendly, sweet and funny as ever. Paul has already completed 15 marathons and 2 ultra marathons, but he’s never taken part in any event spread over several days. He’s come to this 25th Sultan Marathon des Sables for the challenge; for him, it is THE event. Hi job - and chocolate - keep him in shape. He’s also come for the opportunity to meet new people and for the collective life of the bivouac. Paul is a people’s person, he likes a good joke and enjoys sharing unique moments with friends. He had a daughter last Christmas: when he speaks about his little Ava, his eyes get all shiny and no doubt the thought of her will help him go through the difficult patches of the challenge he’s set himself.
