In tent 42, the atmosphere is cheeky and relaxed. Each competitor finalizes their preparation. Today, there are two starts to the race: the 50 last competitors at the general ranking will be leaving one hour earlier than the rest, at 8am. In tent 42, they are proud to say: “We’re leaving at 8, we’re just too good!” Pierre Fischer (94-FRA) is head of an escalator maintenance team. The day after he gets back from Morocco, he has an important meeting with a client. “I’ll go to the meeting wearing a suit and Crocs… I simply cannot wear proper shoes! »
One of his tent mates adds : “The first thing I’ll do when I get home is to show my feet to my wife: she’s a nurse. In a nutshell, I’ll be bringing home more work: she will love it!”
